PASSION

What we share with our customers is an unwavering passion for micro-optical components. Precision is our focus and we team this with a particular affinity for the seemingly impossible.

Discuss your visions with us on an equal footing and allow us to inject our enthusiasm into your project. Our multidisciplinary team of specialists in physics, optics and microtechnology pushes the boundaries of what is technologically feasible on a daily basis.
You and your individual request for a customer-specific microstructure will always be at the heart of our work.

INNOVATION

Albert Einstein famously said, “If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it,” and this is a principle we follow in our daily work.

Our specialists have been developing highly precise elements based on photolithographic processes for decades.
Offering innovation, individual support with optimising ideas and expertise on feasibility, we facilitate quick and flexible processes. In other words, we understand your problem and produce results. We want to give you the development security you need to be able to make the most of your innovative potential.

PERFECTION

Creation and conception lead to the perfect product.
Our varied production methods allow for processes to be adjusted to the relevant series runs at any time, whilst maintaining the same high quality and without extending the process.

You will be able to plan reliably because we stick to deadlines and handle products with care right through to delivery. A high level of automation guarantees the necessary production reliability and security, and ensures that production is environmentally friendly. Samples? We don’t make them. We produce pilot runs or prototypes on the series machines, meaning that you get attractive, clean and valuable products that are nothing short of perfect.

Tailor-made: microfluidic components and systems

Innovation is driven forward by rising cost pressure in the areas of life sciences, biotechnology and analytics. The preparation of samples, the generation and processing of ever-growing volumes of data and ever-shorter lead times all result in the continuous miniaturisation of important components in glass and plastic.

Flow cells, biochips, lab-on-a-chip components, gratings, integrated electrodes and microchannels, cuvettes: many biophotonic and microfluidic components have functional coatings in the micro and nano range.

At the point where microfluidics, biotechnology and optics overlap and require a multidisciplinary approach and a wide range of processes conducted by employees with a well-founded understanding of the process and application, IMT is the ideal partner.

The period between the choice of technology and the market launch is usually so short that it is not possible to transfer the process from the laboratory to series production within the time. Development very closely related to production has become the key to success.

By translating MEMS technologies into Life Science and Diagnostics we offer flexible processes that enable microfluidic solutions based on Glass as a substrate material: design, consultancy, prototyping, and scalable manufacturing of Lab-On-a-Chip solutions e.g. NGS flow cell, organ-on-a-chip, single-cell analysisCell enrichment, sample preparation and many more.

Medical technology: sophisticated micro-optical solutions

There are no limits for optical technologies in medical technology. Thanks to modern optical systems, it is now possible to carry out minimally invasive operations. In ophthalmology, excimer lasers (LASIK) are used to correct defective vision, whilst in dermatology ruby and Er:YAG lasers are used for tattoo removal and skin rejuvenation. These examples show just how important optical technologies are in medical technology today. We are proud to be able to offer a wide range of products for this challenging market:
