EXTRUSION

A GX electronic proportional regulator can control high pressure to the ID (inner diameter) of the catheter in this catheter extrusion process. A QB3 is also employed during the cooling and sizing process to control vacuum in the chamber. This vacuum is used to help set the OD (outside diameter) of the catheter tube.

BLOW MOLDING

High pressure is required for blow molding applications and the GX can be custom calibrated for ranges from 0-1,000 PSI. The GX is also ideal because of its excellent repeatability and accuracy specs that help ensure consistent production. Closed loop data aquistion is another standard feature of the GX to adjust to changing conditions.

BURST TESTING

The GX unit can be used for burst testing, also known as a “step-test.”  Test result data is transmitted to the controller via the GX analog monitor feedback signal. The analog monitor output signal can be used to capture the pressure when the catheter bursts.
